Tran Cong Vinh obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering degree in 1994 from Sheffield Hallam University in United Kingdom.

Vinh is a chartered engineer who has more than 30 years of international experience including United Kingdom, Kuwait, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. His works broadly cover various aspects in Architectural design, Interior Design, Urban Design and Planning, Landscape design, Strutural Design, MEPF and Civil Design.

Besides the Doctor degree, Vinh received his First Class Honours Degree in Civil Engineering in 1986 from Sheffield City Polytechnic UK.
